This step can sometimes be the hardest. It is difficult to accept and humbling to realize that we are powerless over our addiction. P-O-W-E-R-L-E-S-S and that our lives have become unmanageable.
Wow, it's quite the heavy concept and there can be a sense of panic and anxiety in admitting to yourself that this is true.
On the other hand, really understanding that we are not in control can be a relief. It takes the pressure off, you know? You don't have to fight anymore trying to control your addiction....you can stop that now, and just concentrate on not giving your power to it.
